Cards Golf

Four Cards Golf

Four Cards is a classic two-player card game inspired by the scoring system of golf—you aim to earn as few points as possible over nine rounds. Each round begins with both players receiving four cards face down, while the remaining cards form a draw pile. The top card from this pile is placed face-up to start the discard pile.

Before the game starts, each player may secretly look at two of their cards—the ones closest to them in the layout. These cards must remain hidden until they are either discarded or scored at the end of the round. Players cannot peek again unless replacing a card during play.

On your turn, you can draw a card from the draw pile. This card can be used to replace any card in your layout without viewing the one being replaced. The replaced card is then moved to the discard pile. Alternatively, you may choose to draw from the discard pile—but if you do, you must use that card to replace one in your layout before discarding it. You cannot return it to the pile unused.

Players also have the option to knock. Once a player knocks, their turn ends, and other players may still draw or discard but cannot knock themselves. The round concludes after all players have taken their final turns.

Scoring (Four Cards):

• Pairs in a row or column (same value) = 0 points
• Jokers = -2 points
• King = 0 points
• Queen & Jack = 10 points each
• All other cards = Face value
• Four of a kind = -6 points

Six Cards Golf

Similar to Four Cards, Six Cards is played over nine rounds, with each player starting with six cards. The remaining cards form the draw pile, and the first card is flipped to begin the discard pile.

At the beginning of the game, each player reveals two of their cards. The objective remains the same: minimize your score by forming pairs or reducing card values through swaps. Players take turns drawing a card from either the draw pile or the discard pile.

If you draw from the draw pile, you may either swap it with one of your cards or discard it immediately. If you choose a card from the discard pile, you must use it to replace one of your own before ending your turn. Swapped cards stay face-up, and the round ends once all of a player's cards are revealed.

Scoring (Six Cards):

• Pairs in a column = 0 points
• Jokers = -2 points
• King = 0 points
• Queen & Jack = 20 points each
• All other cards = Face value

Scat

Scat is another variation included in this app, where strategy and memory play a crucial role. The rules follow a similar pattern, focusing on minimizing your score through smart card management and clever pairings. Specific gameplay details and scoring rules align closely with those found in traditional Scat games, making it easy to pick up and play.

Gameplay Options
