Carplounge V4 Autopilot

The Carplounge Autopilot, designed for use with the Raymarine Element App on RT7 & RT4 V4 models, revolutionizes the way you control your BaitBoat. Instead of using a traditional remote control, this innovative system leverages the power of an Android tablet or smartphone. The essential software is freely available on the Google Play Store and compatible with any Android device equipped with Bluetooth. By connecting the tablet to the boat via a Bluetooth transmitter box, you can fully manage the BaitBoat using the device's touchscreen.

In manual mode, the BaitBoat operates similarly to a standard model, allowing you to steer it directly via the touchscreen. The app displays the boat's position, route, and orientation, including a compass function, on a continuously updated map. Additionally, you can save and name promising fishing spots identified by the echo sounder using the built-in GPS, such as "jetty left," "spot 1," or "home."

Switch to autopilot mode, and you can select and combine these points into a route with specific actions, such as opening the left or right hatch, releasing bait, or turning on lights. For example, you could program the boat to: 1) navigate to "Sandbank" and open the right hopper, 2) proceed to "Spot 2" and open the left hopper, and 3) return to the fishing spot and blink once. The boat will then automatically follow this route, allowing you to store an almost infinite number of spots and routes. Thanks to advanced measurement technologies like position and acceleration sensors, along with the latest GPS and compass technology, the boat achieves precise route guidance with 90% accuracy within 30cm.

The system also smartly handles line tensioning while the boat is in motion, particularly when deploying two rods to different spots simultaneously. If you tension one or both lines during movement, the built-in electronics detect this and adjust the boat's steering to counteract the pull, ensuring it stays on a direct course to the target without unnecessary turns that could cause line bends.

While the autopilot replaces the traditional remote control, we offer the flexibility to connect a remote control to the autopilot if preferred. You can choose to control the BaitBoat via your tablet or the remote control. For optimal app control, all Android tablets with Bluetooth are supported, with the app currently optimized for 10-inch tablets.

The free app, accessible via the Google Play Store, is continuously developed and expanded by our team. Automatic software updates through the Play Store ensure that new features, changes, and enhancements are quickly available without the need to return the autopilot or the boat for updates. The autopilot app updates automatically, similar to other tablet and smartphone apps.

This system is exclusively compatible with the RT7 & RT4 V4 models.
