Unlike other chess AI mobile games, ChessCraft uniquely lets you craft bizarre boards and pieces and instantly play against a competent AI.

Design custom pieces by combining 8 bishop or rook-like sliding moves and a 7x7 grid of knight-like jumps. Pieces can even influence adjacent pieces. Create boards up to 16x16, enabling or disabling tiles as desired. Define promotion rules for any piece on any square. Add tile rules such as teleporters, safe zones, and more. The sophisticated AI uses computer science and graph theory to understand your creations and provide a challenging opponent.

Share your designs with friends for them to play against the AI too. Sharing generates a unique webpage, like this example:

ChessCraft is completely free and ad-free, except for occasional prompts to purchase a ChessCraft Patron subscription. Patron status removes these interruptions. Educators, students, or those facing financial hardship should contact the developer for a special code.
