In each temple, Fireboy and Watergirl must run and jump, navigating through hazards. The goal is to reach doors leading to the next room—red for Fireboy and blue for Watergirl—while collecting matching colored diamonds along the way. The faster you reach the doors, the higher your score and ranking.

To progress, you'll need to interact with the environment, stepping on buttons to activate lifts, pushing boxes to reach higher platforms, and flipping switches. Beyond mere running and jumping, the game demands strategic teamwork. One character might need to hold down a switch or platform to pave the way for the other, followed by a reunion at the end.
