The integrated Stockfish engine—one of the world's strongest chess engines—can be activated anytime to evaluate the book's recommendations or your custom variations. With Forward Chess, you get a book, a chessboard, and a powerful analysis tool all combined in your hand!

A key strength is its ergonomic design. Forward Chess features conveniently placed "Previous" and "Next" buttons for swift move navigation, plus a one-tap "snap to position" function that jumps to any selected move. The adjustable board diagrams are easy on the eyes.

For broader navigation, you can jump straight to specific chapters, scroll smoothly within a chapter, and manage long variation trees with ease.

Forward Chess now includes note‑taking: create, edit, and delete notes. The app also supports multiple bookmarks per book.
