The world plunged into darkness

In the wilds of Midgard, the dead now walk by daylight. The rivers burn your throat, the Valkyries have ceased carrying the fallen to Valhalla, and something sinister lurks in the shadows of the forests and gorges. The goddess Hel is behind it all. She cursed these lands with black magic in just fifteen days, and now seeks to enslave the realm of the living.

Death no longer exists

You are the immortal, valiant Jarl of the northern warriors, for whom death is no more. Healers and shamans are baffled by this mystery. But with the path to Valhalla closed, there is only one course of action: arm yourself and drive the creatures of darkness back to Helheim.

No warrior is an island

Frostborn is a cooperative survival game with MMORPG elements: team up with fellow Vikings to build a powerful base, battle the creatures that haunt the shadows and ancient shrines, and face other players in raids and random encounters across diverse locations and dungeons.

Berserker, mage, or assassin - the choice is yours

Choose from over a dozen RPG-style classes to find your perfect fit. Do you favor heavy armor and close-quarters combat? Pick the Protector, Berserker, or Thrasher! Prefer to keep your distance and strike with arrows? The Pathfinder, Sharpshooter, and Hunter await! Or do you strike from the shadows?

Then try the Bandit, Robber, or Assassin! And there are more to discover.

Win at all costs

Trade with other players or ambush them in the wilds of Midgard. Forge alliances to protect each other during raids, or betray that trust for resources or secrets. The old order is gone; these are wild lands where only the strongest survive.

Forge your path to Valhalla

Use a deep MMORPG-style crafting system to create everything needed to overcome the darkness spawned by Hel's black magic. Forge strong walls, prepare meals, brew potions, set deadly traps, and craft powerful weapons and legendary armor. If that's not enough, build a drakkar to raid overseas kingdoms!

Build your own city

Strong walls, spacious homes, and artisan shops are just the beginning of what you must construct and upgrade to welcome visitors to your city. Be ready for a long journey—a great city isn't built in fifteen days. Cooperate with other Vikings and your citizens to fight for your place in a world ruled by dark magic.
