The Kiwanis Club of New Kingston (KCNK) proudly presents the exciting Primary & Prep school spelling Bee competition through the KCNK Little Bee Game, sponsored by Grace Kennedy Money Services (GKMS) and Western Union (WU). This fun app is perfect for kids aged 4 to 9 and offers three engaging modes to master spelling: Learning Mode 1, Learning Mode 2, and Competition Mode.

In Learning Mode 1, children learn to spell words by tapping each letter from left to right. The app helpfully pronounces each letter, allowing kids to repeat and learn. If a mistake is made, they can simply tap to correct it. To progress, students must spell each word correctly and complete all words in a level before moving on. They can retry any level at any time.

Learning Mode 2 challenges students with jumbled letters. They must rearrange the letters to spell the word correctly. Like in Mode 1, if a mistake occurs, they can fix it by tapping, and they can listen to the word again by tapping the little bee icon. Completing all words correctly in a level is required to advance, and levels can be retried as needed.

Competition Mode adds an exciting twist with jumbled letters and extra letters thrown in. Students must spell the words correctly under a time constraint, aiming to complete each level as quickly as possible. They are given 10 random words from the level's pool, and their total time is tracked on the leaderboard.

Each mode features 10 levels with progressively longer words, and each level contains 15 or more words to learn. The words remain the same across all modes for a particular level. Students can personalize their experience in Settings by entering their name, age, parish, and school, and choosing their preferred mode.

The game can be played offline, making it perfect for on-the-go learning. Students can reset the game and start over from the Settings page. It's recommended that they wait for each letter to be fully pronounced before selecting the next one. Parents and students can capture screenshots of the leaderboard to share with teachers.
