Starting today, Amazon has slashed the price of the latest 2025 11th generation Apple iPad (A16) tablet. The Blue and Yellow base models, featuring 128GB of storage and Wi-Fi connectivity, are now available for just $319.99, following a $30 price reduction. This marks the most significant discount seen on the newest iPad model since its launch earlier this year, making it an excellent gift option for Mother's Day, which falls on May 11. Given that only a select few colors are available at this reduced price, the sale is likely to be short-lived, lasting only a few days.

For the majority of users, the standard iPad (not the Air, Mini, or Pro) strikes the perfect balance between performance and affordability, offering all the advantages of iOS. The current model, released on March 12, 2025, comes over two years after its predecessor from October 2022. Notable upgrades include a more powerful A16 processor (versus the A14), increased RAM from 4GB to 6GB, and doubled storage from 64GB to 128GB. Remarkably, the launch price of $349 is actually lower than the $399 starting price of the previous generation.
The features that remain unchanged include the 10.9" Liquid Retina display with a resolution of 2360x1640 (264ppi), USB Type-C charging, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, and the same camera setup. Additionally, it's compatible with the Magic Folio keyboard, transforming it into a mini laptop for enhanced productivity, making it an ideal choice for students. It also supports the newer Apple Pencil with USB-C.
