Bethesda to Announce Oblivion Remaster Tomorrow

by Peyton May 07,2025

After months of swirling rumors and tantalizing leaks, it appears that Bethesda is poised to officially unveil its much-anticipated remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The announcement is scheduled for tomorrow at 11:00 am EST, and fans can catch the reveal live on both YouTube and Twitch.

In a recent post on Twitter/X, Bethesda teased the upcoming announcement with an image prominently featuring a large "IV" and a background strikingly similar to iconic art from Oblivion, hinting strongly at what's to come.

Speculation about an Oblivion remake has been rampant for years, with whispers turning into leaks in recent months. The first hint came from a 2020 Bethesda release schedule that surfaced during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, indicating a planned Oblivion remaster for fiscal year 2022. Although the document was outdated and the release window had passed, it was initially dismissed as a possibly canceled project. However, a January leak this year suggested a full-scale remake was in development, with Bethesda collaborating with support studio Virtuos. The rumors gained further credibility just last week when leaks from Virtuos' website emerged, showcasing images of the remake in progress.

If these recent leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered will be available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Additionally, a Deluxe Edition is expected, which will include the iconic horse armor, alongside the standard version.

Be sure to tune in tomorrow for what promises to be an exciting confirmation and more detailed information on this long-awaited project.
