Bethesda to Unveil Oblivion Remake Tomorrow

by Alexis May 13,2025

After months of swirling rumors and tantalizing leaks, it seems Bethesda is on the cusp of officially unveiling the much-anticipated remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The announcement is slated for tomorrow at 11:00 am EST, as shared by Bethesda on their official X (formerly Twitter) account. The event will be streamed live on both YouTube and Twitch, building excitement among fans worldwide.

The tweet itself, while not explicitly stating the subject of the announcement, features a prominent "IV" and a background strikingly similar to iconic art from the original Oblivion, all but confirming what fans have been eagerly waiting for.

Rumors about an Oblivion remake have been circulating for what feels like an eternity. The speculation gained momentum with a leaked Bethesda release schedule from 2020, revealed during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, which hinted at an Oblivion remaster planned for fiscal year 2022. Although the document's age and missed release window initially suggested the project might have been scrapped, recent developments breathed new life into the rumors. In January of this year, additional leaks emerged, describing the project as a comprehensive remake developed by Bethesda in collaboration with Virtuos. The speculation reached a fever pitch just last week when leaks from Virtuos' own website showcased images of the remake in progress.

If these recent leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered will be available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms. Fans can look forward to both a standard edition and a Deluxe Edition, which notably includes the infamous horse armor.

Be sure to tune in tomorrow to catch the official confirmation and learn more exciting details about this long-awaited remake.
