March is buzzing with excitement in *Pokemon GO* as we celebrate the shift in seasons with the Bug Out event, focused on bug-type Pokémon. Event Details

When is the Pokemon GO Bug Out Event?

The Bug Out event in *Pokemon GO* kicks off on **March 26 at 10 AM local time and runs until 8 PM local time on March 30.** This five-day window is perfect for collecting an array of bug-type Pokémon, and it's especially exciting for Shiny hunters, as nearly all featured Pokémon have Shiny variants in *Pokemon GO*.

Featured Wild Pokemon for the Pokemon GO Bug Out Event

According to the official page, you'll encounter the following bug-type Pokémon more frequently in the wild during the Bug Out event:

  • Caterpie
  • Weedle
  • Wurmple
  • Nincada
  • Venipede
  • Dwebble
  • Joltik
  • Grubbin
  • Dewpider
  • Nymble
  • Cutiefly (with Shiny potential)

New Pokemon During the Bug Out Event

Two new Pokémon will make their debut in *Pokemon GO* during the Bug Out event: Sizzlipede and Centiskorch. Evolve Sizzlipede into Centiskorch with 50 Sizzlipede Candy.

Featured Raid Pokemon for the Pokemon GO Bug Out Event

The Bug Out event will feature a variety of raids at gyms, with the following Pokémon available:

One-Star Raids

  • Scyther*
  • Nincada*
  • Sizzlipede

Three-Star Raids

  • Beedrill*
  • Scizor*
  • Kleavor*

All Pokemon GO Bug Out Event Bonuses

Trainers will enjoy the following bonuses during the Bug Out event:

  • Double XP for catching Pokémon with Nice Throws or better.
  • More Candy for Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws.
  • More Candy XL for Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws (for Trainers over Level 31).
  • Sizzlipede can be attracted with Lure Modules.
  • Higher chance of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede.
  • Additional Pokémon will appear near a lured PokéStop if enough Pokémon are caught using a single Lure Module.

Pokemon GO Bug Out Field Research, Timed Research, & Paid Time Research

Spinning PokéStops during the event will provide Field Research tasks themed around the event, rewarding players with Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event Pokémon.

Timed Research will offer rewards such as a Lure Module and encounters with event Pokémon, while the Paid Timed Research includes a Lure Module, two Premium Battle Passes, and encounters with event Pokémon. Both types of research must be completed and rewards claimed before the event ends.

Pokemon GO Bug Avatar Items

Starting with the Bug Out event, new bug-type themed Avatar items will be available in the in-game shop, including:

  • Sizzlipede Boots
  • Scolipede Jacket

The Bug Out event will feature Collection Challenges centered around event-themed Pokémon, offering rewards such as Stardust, XP, and encounters with event-themed Pokémon.
