Coatsink is bringing its calming city-building game to mobile. Specifically, they’re launching Islanders: New Shores on mobile. It drops on November 20th as Islanders: Mobile for Android and iOS, with full integration for Game Center and Google Play leaderboards and achievements.
Islanders: Mobile invites you to explore new shores, offering a minimalist world where creativity meets quiet strategy. Every level starts with an empty island and a small selection of buildings in your inventory.
You’ll need to plan ahead when placing each structure, since every building interacts uniquely with its environment. Points are earned based on placement efficiency, unlocking new buildings as you advance.
When your settlement reaches a certain size, you’ll move on to the next procedurally generated island, continuing the cycle of discovery and design. If you run out of buildings, the round ends—leaving behind the tranquil town you built before stepping onto the next.
Islanders: New Shores Mobile features two distinct modes—High Score and Sandbox—each with separate save files to let players easily switch between competitive and creative play. Photo Mode lets you capture your most beautiful layouts, complete with filters and a rotating camera for the perfect shot.
There are 44 unique building types and 7 distinct island properties. With 50 dynamic island generators, no two sessions ever look alike. A gentle 75-minute original soundtrack plays softly in the background as you build and expand.
The developers have also introduced a new feature called Boons. These are one-time power-ups that let you duplicate buildings in your inventory or replace structures you’ve already placed. Each boon adds a fresh twist to how you shape your town.
If you’re interested, you can pre-register for the game on the Google Play Store.
