Destiny 2's Festival of the Lost 2025: A Spooky Vote and Community Concerns
Destiny 2 players will soon have a chilling choice to make: vote for either "Slashers" or "Spectres" themed armor sets in the upcoming Festival of the Lost event. These new sets draw inspiration from iconic horror figures like Jason Voorhees, Ghostface, Babadook, La Llorona, and even Slenderman. Titans, Hunters, and Warlocks will each receive unique designs based on these terrifying characters. The winning sets will be available in October. Additionally, the Wizard armor set, which lost the vote in 2024's event, will finally be released during Episode Heresy.
However, the excitement surrounding these new cosmetic additions is tempered by ongoing concerns within the Destiny 2 community. Episode Revenant, the current season, has been plagued by bugs and glitches, impacting gameplay and player enjoyment. Issues with tonics, a key mechanic of the season, have added to player frustration, leading to a decline in player engagement and overall community sentiment. The announcement of Festival of the Lost armor, ten months in advance, has been met with some surprise, with many players hoping for a more immediate address to the game's current problems. The community is clearly hoping Bungie will prioritize addressing these issues alongside the development of new content.
