Square Enix brings the Dragon Quest Monsters series to mobile with Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince, following its December 2023 Nintendo Switch release. This seventh installment offers a fresh perspective on a familiar character.
Players embody Psaro, a young man burdened by a curse from his father, the Master of Monsterkind, preventing him from harming monsters. To lift the curse, Psaro embarks on a journey to become a Monster Wrangler.
He allies with monsters, climbing the ranks to potentially become the Master of Monsterkind himself. Fans of Dragon Quest IV will recognize Psaro as the antagonist, but this game reveals his story from his own point of view.
The adventure unfolds in Nadiria, a magical world where dynamic weather and seasonal changes significantly impact gameplay. Recruit, train, and fuse over 500 unique monsters to create powerful allies. Weather patterns dictate monster appearances, ensuring constant discovery. The roster boasts a diverse range of creatures, from adorable to bizarre.

The game offers exciting features including the Mole Hole, Coach Joe’s Dungeon Gym, and Treasure Trunks—all DLC from the console version, adding depth to the monster-wrangling experience.
A Quickfire Contest mode allows players to test their monster teams against others, earning daily stat-boosting items and expanding their roster through competitive battles.
