Team Cherry's highly anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong will be absent from Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024, according to Geoff Keighley, the event's producer. This news has understandably disappointed many fans.
Silksong's Absence Confirmed
The Hollow Knight community's hopes were initially raised when Keighley's initial Gamescom ONL lineup included a "+ More" section, hinting at unannounced games. This fueled speculation that Silksong, after a lengthy period of silence, might finally receive an update. However, Keighley later clarified on Twitter (X) that Silksong would not be featured at the event. He did, however, reassure fans that Team Cherry remains dedicated to the game's development.
While the lack of Silksong news is a blow, the Gamescom ONL 2024 still boasts a strong lineup, including titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Monster Hunter Wilds, Civilization 7, and MARVEL Rivals.
