"Two GTA Games to Exit Netflix Next Month"

Why Are These GTA Games Leaving Netflix and When?

This isn't a random decision. Netflix licenses games in a similar way to how it licenses movies and series. The licenses for these two GTA titles are set to expire next month, and you'll see a 'Leaving Soon' label on these games before they depart.

GTA III and Vice City were added to Netflix Games a year ago, under a 12-month agreement with Rockstar Games. As a result, these games will no longer be available to Netflix subscribers after December 13th.

If you've been immersed in the chaos of Grand Theft Auto III or cruising the neon-lit streets of Vice City via Netflix, it's time to wrap up your adventures. However, CJ and the crew from San Andreas will remain on the platform for now.

What’s Next for These Titles?

If you haven't finished these games yet, you can purchase them from the Google Play Store. The Definitive Editions of Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City are available for $4.99 each, while the entire trilogy can be bought for $11.99.

Unlike Samurai Shodown V and WrestleQuest, which vanished from Netflix's lineup last year without warning, Netflix is giving players advance notice about GTA's departure. Interestingly, Rockstar Games has chosen not to renew their license with Netflix Games, despite the latter gaining numerous subscribers in 2023 thanks to the game trilogy.

Rumors suggest that Rockstar and Netflix might be collaborating on remastered versions of Liberty City Stories, Vice City Stories, and even Chinatown Wars. Let's hope these rumors come to fruition!
