Once considered a distant dream, the possibility of Marvel Rivals making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2 is now within reach. NetEase, the game's developer, had previously dismissed the idea of a release on the original Switch due to technical limitations. However, the anticipated successor, the Nintendo Switch 2, could potentially bring this vision to life.
During the DICE Summit, producer Weikang Wu shared that the team is currently in talks with Nintendo. The primary challenge they face is ensuring that the game runs smoothly and consistently on the new hardware:
"The first-generation Switch simply didn’t have the power to deliver the gameplay experience we envisioned. But if the Switch 2 can handle it, we’re absolutely ready to bring the game to the platform."

With the official announcement of the Nintendo Switch 2, major players in the gaming industry are showing their support. Phil Spencer from Xbox has hinted at bringing their catalog to the new platform, while Electronic Arts (EA) has also expressed enthusiasm.
As for Marvel Rivals, the game is set to expand further with the inclusion of two members from the Fantastic Four, promising to bring new excitement to the battlefield in upcoming updates.
