Microsoft Unveils Xbox Game Pass April 2025 Wave 1 Games

Microsoft has announced an impressive lineup of Xbox Game Pass titles set to enhance the service in the first half of April 2025. The roster includes highly anticipated games like South of Midnight, Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, and Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition, among others. This exciting update was detailed in a recent Xbox Wire post, promising a month packed with both first- and third-party releases.

Starting tomorrow, April 3, subscribers can dive into Gearbox Software's Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, available across Cloud, Console, and PC for all tiers. Joining this title on the same day are All You Need Is Help (Console), Still Wakes the Deep (Xbox Series X | S), and Wargroove 2 (Console), all of which will be accessible via Game Pass Standard. This initial wave offers a diverse range of gaming experiences, ensuring there's something for every Xbox enthusiast. However, gamers will need to act quickly as the next batch of titles, including South of Midnight (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) and Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition (Console and PC), will be available for all Game Pass subscribers starting April 8.

South of Midnight, developed by Compulsion Games, is poised to be one of the standout releases of the year. Set in the Deep South, this folklore adventure invites players to explore a rich mythos and confront mysterious creatures while mastering an ancient power. Microsoft's official description highlights the game's unique blend of storytelling and gameplay, making it a must-play for Game Pass members.

The excitement continues with the addition of Commandos: Origins (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) on April 9, followed by Blue Prince (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) on April 10, both available for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. Rounding out the Wave 1 releases, Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PC) will be added on April 15 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members.

In addition to the new titles, Xbox Game Pass perks are also being refreshed for the first half of April 2025. Notable perks include the Beyond the Void Bundle for The First Descendant, the Sweet Starter Pack for Candy Crush Solitaire on mobile devices, and an anniversary Seventh Serving Emote for Sea of Thieves enthusiasts.
