Palworld's Future Platforms and Development

In a recent interview, Mizobe discussed the difficulties of bringing Palworld to the Switch, citing its demanding PC specifications. He confirmed ongoing discussions about potential new platforms but emphasized that no announcements are imminent. While a Switch port presents technical challenges, Mizobe remains positive about expanding Palworld's reach to other platforms, including potential PlayStation, mobile, or other console releases. He also confirmed previous statements regarding discussions about partnerships and acquisitions, clarifying that there have been no buyout negotiations with Microsoft.

Ambitions for Enhanced Multiplayer Features

Beyond platform considerations, Mizobe revealed his vision for Palworld's multiplayer aspect. The upcoming arena mode, described as an experimental step, will pave the way for more extensive multiplayer experiences. Mizobe expressed a desire to incorporate elements reminiscent of popular survival games like Ark and Rust, aiming for a robust PvP mode with intricate alliances and tribal dynamics. Both Ark and Rust are known for their challenging environments, resource management, and player interaction features, blending PvE and PvP gameplay.

Palworld's Success and Upcoming Update

Since its launch, Palworld, Pocketpair's creature-collecting and survival shooter, has achieved remarkable success, selling 15 million copies on PC within its first month and attracting 10 million players on Xbox Game Pass.
