Pikmin Bloom Celebrates 3.5 Years with Classic Nintendo Console Throwback

Pikmin Bloom is set to celebrate its 3.5th anniversary next month, and Niantic has planned a nostalgic event to mark the occasion. Starting on May 1st, 2025, players can dive into a month-long celebration that brings back the charm of classic Nintendo gadgets.

The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!

Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has delighted players with various fun decor options, such as Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. This 3.5th anniversary, the game is taking a trip down memory lane by introducing classic Nintendo game consoles from the 80s and 90s.

Adding to the nostalgia, a new Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin will be available. This is a tribute to Nintendo's origins in the playing card business before they ventured into video games. The designs are inspired by Nintendo’s vintage playing card decks.

The anniversary event will run from May 1st to May 31st, 2025, giving players ample time to engage in event missions and collect new Pikmin. Completing Event Challenge missions will reward players with random items like Game Button Cells, seedlings that can grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.

During the event, Brilliant Mushrooms will also appear. Destroying these mushrooms will yield Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other goodies. The Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 or Playing Card Decor Pikmin are especially effective at tackling these mushrooms.

Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May

May will see the blooming of large flowers, which can turn into carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or anniversary roses when surrounded by red, yellow, white, or blue petals.

Additionally, there's a nectar update for May. Fruits obtained from mushrooms will now provide nectar for both regular and special flowers, including carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.

The celebration doesn't stop there; Pikmin Bloom will also host a Community Day. Make sure to download Pikmin Bloom from the Google Play Store to join in on the 3.5th anniversary festivities.
