"Respawn and Bit Reactor to Unveil Star Wars: Zero Company This Weekend"

by Isabella May 13,2025

Following a minor leak last week, EA has officially unveiled the title of its upcoming Star Wars game: Star Wars: Zero Company. This exciting new addition to the Star Wars gaming universe is being crafted by the newly-formed studio Bit Reactor, with collaborative support from Lucasfilm Games and Respawn. The game promises to be a "single-player turn-based tactics game," a genre that's sure to captivate strategy enthusiasts.

While details about Star Wars: Zero Company are still scarce, fans won't have to wait long for more insights. EA has scheduled a first look at the game for April 19 at Star Wars Celebration in Japan. This event is a golden opportunity for fans to get a deeper understanding of what the game will offer.

Bit Reactor, established in 2022, is comprised of industry veterans who have worked on acclaimed titles such as XCOM, Civilization, Gears of War, and Elder Scrolls Online. Their experience in strategy gaming is a promising sign for the quality and depth of Star Wars: Zero Company. Although it's known that Bit Reactor has been collaborating with Respawn on this project, the exact nature of Respawn's involvement remains somewhat ambiguous. Respawn has faced its own set of challenges recently, including the cancellation of a Star Wars FPS project last year and another multiplayer FPS project just last month, alongside significant layoffs at EA.

For those eager to learn more, a live panel dedicated to Star Wars: Zero Company is set for Saturday, April 19 at 4:30pm local time in Japan. For fans in the U.S., this translates to an early morning event at 12:30am PT and 3:30am ET, so be sure to set your alarms to catch all the latest updates on this highly anticipated game.
