Monster Hunter Now is gearing up for its highly anticipated Season 5: The Blossoming Blade, which Niantic has fully detailed. Set to launch on March 6th, 2025, this season promises new challenges, weapons, a Season Pass, and a host of new monsters to hunt.

Getting Ready for Monster Hunter Now Season 5

Before the official launch of Season 5, players can look forward to the early arrival of Chatacabra on February 28th. This marks its grand debut before it appears in Monster Hunter Wilds. When Season 5 officially kicks off, players will also encounter Glavenus and Arzuros, adding to the excitement and variety of the game.

Weapon balance is a key focus for Season 5, with adjustments designed to make every weapon type more engaging and effective. The Sword & Shield will see a significant buff, making it easier to target breakable parts like tails. Additionally, the Perfect Rush Combo (SP) will reward players with stronger performance for well-timed taps, enhancing the overall combat experience.

The Guard skill is also getting an upgrade. Previously, leveling up Guard had minimal impact, but now, higher skill levels will effectively reduce the damage taken when blocking. More details on these and other tweaks will be available in the full patch notes released on March 6th.

For those struggling with inventory space, Season 5 introduces an Item Box Expansion available as a Supply Item, providing an additional 250 slots to help manage your gear and resources more efficiently.

As part of Monster Hunter Now’s 1.5-Year Anniversary celebration on March 17th, a new feature will be introduced, allowing players to trade special materials earned from hunts and events for valuable rewards. These rewards will include Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards, offering players exciting new ways to enhance their gameplay.
