The beloved adult animated sitcom *Solar Opposites* is set to conclude with its sixth and final season. Hulu officially announced today that the show's last installment will premiere sometime within the final quarter of 2025. This news follows the mid-2024 announcement of the show's renewal for Season 6, which at the time did not hint at it being the series finale.
Since its debut in 2020, *Solar Opposites* has captivated audiences with its unique storyline about a family of aliens stranded on Earth after escaping their planet's destruction. The series was created by Mike McMahan, known for *Star Trek: Lower Decks*, and Justin Roiland, co-creator of *Rick & Morty*. In 2023, Roiland faced legal challenges when he was charged with domestic violence, though these charges were subsequently dropped. Following this, Roiland was removed from the show and replaced by English actor Dan Stevens, who took over as the lead voice actor.
