Sonos Arc Soundbar Discontinued: Save $300 Now

Sonos rarely discounts its popular speakers, making it a smart move to take advantage of a good sale when it appears. Currently, both Amazon and Walmart are offering a significant discount on one of Sonos' top models, the Arc soundbar, now available for just $599 after a $300 instant reduction. This model, which has been succeeded by the new Arc Ultra, appears to be discontinued and is sold out on the Sonos website. It's unlikely to return, except perhaps in the Refurbished section.

The Arc was Sonos' flagship soundbar until the recent launch of the Arc Ultra, which retails for $1,000 and hasn't been discounted yet. This premium 45" soundbar features eleven carefully engineered internal speakers, including three tweeters and eight midwoofers. It's also Dolby Atmos ready with two dedicated height channels. The Arc integrates seamlessly with other Sonos speakers and subs, making it an excellent choice for those seeking superior sound without the typical AV setup hassle. Additional features include an ambient light sensor, HDMI eARC, capacitive touch controls, WiFi, and more. The built-in microphone allows for voice command functionality.

Although the Arc Ultra resembles the Arc and has similar dimensions (slightly wider, shorter, and shallower), it boasts significant internal upgrades. It contains fourteen speakers, including seven tweeters, six midwoofers, and a new Sound Motion four-motor dual-membrane woofer. This results in richer, cleaner bass and improved dialogue clarity. Additionally, the Arc Ultra includes Bluetooth, a feature missing from the original Arc.
