"Star Wars: Hunter to End in 2025, Last Update Coming Soon"

Star Wars: Hunters, Zynga's first venture into the iconic franchise, is set to close its doors just over a year after its initial launch on iOS and Android. Launched in June 2024, the game quickly captured attention with its unique blend of game show flair and innovative takes on Star Wars archetypes.

However, it has been announced that Star Wars: Hunters will cease operations on October 1st of this year. A final content update is scheduled for April 15th. In response to the shutdown, in-game currency is now refundable, and certain seasonal events will be rerun as part of an extended Season 3.

Fans eagerly awaiting the arrival of the final hunter, Tuya, will be pleased to know they can still experience her in multiplayer mode. Tuya will be introduced in the last content update and will be available to play for free from the start for all players.

The decision to shutter Star Wars: Hunters came as a surprise, as there were few signs of the game underperforming. Given Zynga's robust standing in the industry, it suggests that there might be deeper reasons for this move.
