"Tribe Nine Ends EOS Support Shortly After Global Launch"

Akatsuki Games has announced the end of service (EOS) for their latest game, Tribe Nine, and it's a shock to many. Launched on Android, iOS, and PC (Steam) in February, the game is now facing an untimely end. Let's dive into the details and explore what led to this decision.

When Is the Tribe Nine EOS?

Tribe Nine will officially cease operations on November 27th, 2025. Alongside this announcement, Akatsuki Games has confirmed that Chapter 4 of the main story will not be released. This news comes shortly after the game teased exciting future developments, making it a bitter pill to swallow for fans.

As of May 15th, all new updates, features, bug fixes, and content releases have been canceled. Any previously announced adjustments or new features are now off the table. Additionally, two anticipated characters, Ichinosuke Akiba and Saizo Akiba, will no longer be added to the game's roster.

Refunds will be issued for Paid Enigma Entities used on items like Armed Support, Advanced Support, and the Support Contract – Revenio. These refunds will be processed after the Revenio contract concludes. Furthermore, purchases of Enigma Entities and Daily Passes are no longer available through the app or web store. However, players can continue using their existing Enigma Entities until the official shutdown of Tribe Nine.

Why Did It Fail So Soon?

Tribe Nine is a free-to-play extreme action RPG known for its unique style and worldbuilding. Despite its quality, the game struggled from the outset. A major issue was its slow release schedule, with only one story chapter and one event over three months. Additionally, there was little incentive for players to spend money, as a solid team could be built with a single pull, and duplicate characters weren't necessary. This was advantageous for players but detrimental to the developers' revenue.

It appears that the decision to incorporate a gacha system was a risky move for Tribe Nine, and unfortunately, it did not yield the desired results. Despite its impending closure, the game remains playable until November 27th. If you haven't tried it yet, you can still check it out on the Google Play Store.
