Unlocking the Fire Seal in Fields of Mistria: A Guide

by Hannah May 14,2025

Following the March 10 update in *Fields of Mistria*, players can now progress to the Fire Seal after clearing the preceding altars. To unlock this seal, you'll need to gather four specific items: a Faceted Rock Gem, Rockroot, Emerald, and a Sealing Scroll. Here's a detailed guide on how to obtain each item and successfully unlock the Fire Seal.

Where to Find Faceted Rock Gem in Fields of Mistria

The Faceted Rock Gem, an essential artifact, can be found within the mines of *Fields of Mistria*. Ensure your game is updated to the latest version and navigate through the mines to reach Floors 50-59. We discovered the item on Floor 56 after some diligent searching. To uncover this gem, use your pickaxe or shovel to dig in marked areas on the ground. Note that the Faceted Rock Gem is a rare find, so be prepared to invest time in your search.

Where to Find Rockroot in Fields of Mistria

Rockroot, a common forageable item, is also located between Floors 50-59 in the mines. If you're a regular miner, chances are you've already collected this item. Look for a dark, root-like plant as shown in the image above. Only one Rockroot is required to complete the Priestess’ altar, making it a relatively easy find.

Where to Find Emerald in Fields of Mistria

Emeralds are the most accessible item on your list of offerings for the Fire Seal. You can find Emerald geodes throughout Floors 50-59 in the mines. These are quite common, so you should have no trouble collecting them if you haven't already stored some. Alternatively, you can obtain Emeralds by breaking large boulders around Mistria or purchasing them at Balor’s Wagon for just 200 tesserae. With the March 2025 update, you can also craft Emeralds at the new Stone Refinery, offering another convenient method to acquire them.

How to Get the Sealing Scroll in Fields of Mistria

The Sealing Scroll is the last item required to unlock the Fire Seal and is obtained through a quest initiated after you meet Juniper post-discovery of the seal. You'll need to enlist Balor's help to acquire the scroll, which comes at a cost. To secure the Sealing Scroll, gather the following:

  • 10 Silver Ingots
  • 10 Rubies
  • 10 Sapphires
  • 10 Emeralds

If you haven't collected these items yet, they can all be found within the mines. Once you have everything, deposit the items in the bin next to Balor’s Wagon.

Unlocking the Fire Seal

With the Sealing Scroll, Faceted Rock Gem, Emerald, and Rockroot in your possession, return to Floor 60 of the mines to present your offerings. This action will unlock the Fire Seal, revealing a new biome and further content during Early Access.
