Story director Tomasz Marchewka confirmed that Ciri's role was always intended, highlighting her complex character and rich narrative potential. While fans adore Ciri's overpowered abilities in previous games, The Witcher 4 will present a slightly altered version. Sapkowski's Rozdroże kruków (Raven's Crossing) confirms Geralt's birth year as 1211, placing him well into his seventies by the events of The Witcher 4. While Witcher lifespans can reach a century, this revelation surprised many fans who had previously underestimated Geralt's age. This advanced age, however, is consistent with Witcher lore.
