World of Warcraft: The War Within - Patch 11.1 Prologue and Dalaran Epilogue Guide

World of Warcraft: The War Within's narrative continues beyond the Siren Isle update. Season 2, anticipated for later in 2025, promises new endgame content and the next chapter of this expansion. However, Patch 11.0.7 introduces crucial story quests paving the way for Patch 11.1, centered around the Goblin capital, Undermine. A separate questline concludes the tragic destruction of Dalaran, though initially delayed.

Updated January 7, 2025: The latest campaign quests mark a significant turning point. Dalaran, a long-standing Warcraft location, may never recover from the events of The War Within. The Dalaran Epilogue provides closure to this story, bidding farewell to a key social hub in Wrath of the Lich King and Legion.

Accessing the Patch 11.1 Prologue: Lingering Shadows

Unlike the Dalaran Epilogue, the Lingering Shadows campaign begins immediately. Prior completion of the leveling or Level 80 campaigns isn't required, but recommended for context. The questline includes:

Unlocking the Dalaran Epilogue in World of Warcraft: The War Within

Initially gated for three weeks, the Dalaran Epilogue is now accessible (as of January 7th). However, you must complete both The War Within's leveling campaign and the Level 80 campaign (requiring Renown Four with all four Khaz Algar factions).

Check Foundation Hall (Patch 11.1 prologue location). Khadgar's presence indicates readiness; if absent, further campaign quests are needed. The Dalaran Epilogue quests are:
