Xbox Game Pass January 2025: New Games and Departures

Microsoft has unveiled its first Xbox Game Pass lineup for 2025, confirming several anticipated titles and announcing some departing games. The January additions include a mix of genres, catering to various player preferences. This follows recent service updates including age restrictions and revised rewards systems.

Seven new games join the service this month, starting with Road 96 (available January 7th across all tiers). This title returns to Game Pass after a previous stint. Six more titles launch later in the month (mostly January 8th, with two on the 14th): Lightyear Frontier (Preview), My Time at Sandrock, Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders, Rolling Hills, UFC 5 (Ultimate only), and Diablo (Ultimate and PC Game Pass). The arrival of Diablo and UFC 5, previously rumored, is now officially confirmed, but with tier restrictions.

Alongside the new games, several Game Pass Ultimate perks are available, including in-game items for Apex Legends, First Descendant, Vigor, and Metaball.

However, the addition of new games also means some are leaving. Six titles depart on January 15th: Common'hood, Escape Academy, Exoprimal, Figment, Insurgency Sandstorm, and Those Who Remain.

This announcement covers only the first half of January. Microsoft will undoubtedly reveal the second half's lineup soon.
