Can you defeat the swarm of killer robots in this old school arcade classic? Robots On throws you into a fast-paced, action-packed battle where movement and firepower are your best allies. As the title suggests, it's all-out chaos once the robots power up and start their relentless assault.

This retro-inspired arcade game revives the spirit of classic 2D gaming, letting you play in flat 2D mode like the original arcade titles. For a modern twist, tap the camera icon to switch perspectives and experience the mayhem from multiple angles, including first-person and third-person views. It’s nostalgia with an upgrade.

Gameplay Mechanics & Strategy

The robots are equipped with advanced AI (version 2.0a), but don’t worry—they still can't outsmart a human player (assuming you're human—we won’t judge if you’re not). You get a crucial two-second head start before the robots activate, so use that time wisely. Target the most dangerous bots first to survive longer.

You’ll be outnumbered a thousand to one, so staying alive means constant motion and non-stop blasting. To progress to the next level, eliminate every robot on the screen—except for the indestructible Grunt bots. Collect power-ups scattered throughout the battlefield to gain the upper hand:

• Star: Activates auto-aim, targeting the most dangerous enemies for a limited time.
• Diamond: Grants temporary shields for protection.
• Cherry: Awards big points for high scores.
• Heart: Gives you a bonus life.
• Lightning: Freezes all robots until the power runs out.

You begin with five lives, and earn additional ones as you play—first at every 5,000 points, then at 10,000-point intervals. Keep scoring and surviving to climb the leaderboards.

Robot Types & Behavior

Each robot type behaves differently, making strategy essential to your survival:

• Reds: Common worker bots that shoot lasers from their eyes.
• Greens (Grunt Bots): Indestructible and must be avoided.
• Brain Bots: Fire deadly homing missiles—eliminate them quickly.
• Torus Bull Bots: Replication units that spawn other dangerous robots.
• Cake Bots: Fly straight toward you—keep moving to dodge.
• Cube Bots: Fast replicators that create deadly Cash Registers.
• Cash Registers: Androids that fire bouncing electric balls.
• Dumb Blocks: Harmless unless you collide with them.

Controls & Firing System

Controlling your character is intuitive and responsive:

• Tap anywhere on the screen or directly on a robot to fire in that direction.
• Tap outside the game board to fire straight ahead.
• Hold your finger down for rapid-fire capability.
