Sunday School Lessons

Introducing our comprehensive audio-visual resource designed for effective evangelism and foundational Bible teaching, specifically tailored for Sunday School environments. Based on the meticulously crafted Sunday School Lessons by the AIC Sunday School Committee in Juba, Southern Sudan, this resource has been adapted for broader use by Global Recordings Network Australia, with the kind permission of the Africa Inland Church, Sudan.

This engaging educational tool is designed to be used in conjunction with the audio-visual picture books provided by Global Recordings Network. It was developed in response to the earnest requests from young educators needing guidance in teaching Sunday School. The vivid imagery serves as an essential visual aid, enhancing the learning experience for students.

App Features:

• Integration with Established Programs: Lessons are based on the renowned Good News and Look, Listen, and Live audio-visual programs, accessible via the 5fish app.
• Efficient Navigation: Utilize the title search function to find lessons quickly.
• Teacher Support: Each lesson comes with detailed teacher instructions to facilitate effective teaching.
• Audio and Visual Aids: Play English audio recordings and display pictures relevant to each lesson story.
• Offline Accessibility: Lessons can be accessed offline, though audio requires an internet connection.

This app focuses exclusively on the lesson segment of the Sunday School session, designed to last approximately twenty minutes. The remainder of the Sunday School time, encompassing singing, prayer, Bible reading, quizzes, and other activities, is left for teachers to creatively plan. We suggest concluding each lesson with a brief prayer and song that reinforces the week's teaching. These lessons are crafted for children aged 7 to 12, catering to a broad age spectrum.

Originally, teachers transcribed these lessons weekly into exercise books, keeping them concise. While some lessons have been expanded, the core idea remains to provide a brief yet thorough outline for teachers to elaborate upon during their preparation.

Each lesson begins with a clear aim, guiding the teaching focus. Recognizing that it's impractical to cover the entirety of God's truth in a single lesson, the approach is to highlight one or two key truths per session, allowing children to gradually deepen their understanding of God.

The lessons are not intended to be read verbatim to the class but serve as a guiding tool—a "walking stick" for the teacher, rather than a crutch.
