We are excited to announce significant updates to 2GIS, as it has become increasingly challenging to showcase all the detailed information we gather about cities and companies within the current app version. The new 2GIS features a refreshed design, an enhanced search function, improved city updates, and integrates favorites with 2gis.ru.

Services, Addresses, and Companies

2GIS provides comprehensive details on local services, from knowing which provider services your home to locating nearby district hospitals or post offices. It assists in selecting cafes or service centers based on customer reviews and photos, and provides essential information such as opening hours and contact numbers.

Transport and Navigation

For drivers, 2GIS offers reliable navigation with voice-guided instructions, taking into account real-time traffic conditions and road closures. It dynamically updates routes if you deviate from the planned path. For pedestrians, it suggests multiple transit options, including buses, metro, trains, cable cars, and river trams.

Walking Routes

The pedestrian navigation feature in 2GIS guides you on foot to your destination, functioning in the background with voice guidance to ensure a seamless experience.

Friends on the Map

Now, you can track the real-time location of friends and family on the map! 2GIS allows you to control who you connect with and who can see your location, with customizable visibility settings.

Building Entrances

Avoid the hassle of finding the right entrance to a business center; 2GIS maps out the entrances for over 2.5 million companies. Whether you're navigating by public transport or car, the app guides you directly to the door.

Plans of Shopping Centres

Navigate effortlessly inside shopping centers with 2GIS, which displays a detailed layout from shops and cafes to ATMs and restrooms. Plan your visit in advance to make the most of your time.

2GIS Beta Notifications Companion App for Smart Watches on Wear OS

Our new companion app for smart watches on Wear OS enhances your navigation experience. Whether you're walking, cycling, or using public transport, you can view maps, receive maneuver hints, and get vibration alerts when nearing a turn or your destination. This app automatically syncs with your phone's navigation and is compatible with Wear OS 3.0 and later.

By joining our beta program, you'll receive the latest updates and contribute to refining 2GIS, which will soon be used by millions. You can run both the original and beta versions simultaneously, switching between them as needed.

We've made some beautiful, crisp updates just for you:

• Enhanced main map and route search now feature wide, realistic roads.
• Introducing Chats for Friends! Stay connected and message each other without leaving the map.
• Added notifications when a friend is nearby, which you can turn off in settings.
• Just in time for ski season, we've added ski lift statuses on slopes, so you can check if they're open or not.
• For public transport routes that include walking, we now calculate the walking portion in steps.
