A recent leak from Honkai: Star Rail is offering early glimpses into the gameplay of the upcoming character, Anaxa, suggesting he will possess a diverse set of useful abilities. As the launch of Amphoreus approaches, HoYoverse's sci-fi RPG has been teasing numerous new characters, including several variants of Honkai Impact 3rd's "Flame-Chasers." HoYoverse has already introduced four new characters slated for Amphoreus' early patches, with The Herta and Aglaea arriving in Version 3.0, and Tribbie and Mydei set to debut in Version 3.1. Now, new leaks are shedding light on one of the region's future cast members.
While HoYoverse has been tight-lipped about the abilities of Amphoreus' upcoming characters, Honkai: Star Rail has teased names for several new additions to its roster. The Amphoreus cast includes Star Rail variants of many of Honkai Impact 3rd's most beloved characters, such as Phainon and Cyrene, who are Star Rail's versions of Kevin Kaslana and Elysia, respectively. Honkai: Star Rail often features alternate versions of Honkai Impact 3rd characters, sharing names like Seele, Bronya, and Himeko. One of these Flame-Chasers, Anaxa, is now the subject of early leaks.
A new leak from Honkai: Star Rail leaker Hellgirl is teasing early gameplay details for the new character, Anaxa. According to the leak, Anaxa's kit will offer a wide range of utility to team compositions utilizing the Flame-Chaser, with abilities to apply weaknesses similar to Silver Wolf and delay enemy actions. Anaxa is also expected to provide significant offensive capabilities, able to reduce an enemy's defense and add additional damage to either his own or his allies' attacks. A release window for Anaxa has not yet been confirmed.
Anaxa's rumored kit in Honkai: Star Rail appears to combine powerful elements from several popular Star Rail characters. Silver Wolf has long been a versatile choice for teams due to her ability to implant Weaknesses onto enemies based on her team composition. Anaxa's reported DEF reduction ability mirrors that of Pela, while his capacity to delay enemy actions is a mechanic also used by characters like Silver Wolf and Welt.
The array of options available to Anaxa positions him as one of Honkai: Star Rail's most potent supportive characters. The game's meta has been dominated by top-tier supports like Ruan Mei and Robin, while the recently released Sunday and Fugue have quickly become popular choices. HoYoverse has also teased a powerful new support coming with Version 3.1, with Tribbie expected to offer a more damage-focused style of support. Anaxa's early leaks suggest that he could significantly impact Honkai: Star Rail's meta upon his debut.
