by Stella May 02,2025

Sony has announced an exciting trio of PlayStation Plus Essential titles for April 2025: RoboCop: Rogue City (PS5), The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (PS4, PS5), and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory (PS4). These titles were revealed in a PlayStation.Blog post and will be available to subscribers at no extra cost starting April 1, until they are replaced by the next batch of games on May 5.

Which April 2025 PlayStation Plus game will you play first?

  • RoboCop: Rogue City
  • The Texas Chain Saw Massacre
  • Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory

PlayStation Plus users will find that the April 2025 lineup caters to a variety of tastes. RoboCop: Rogue City, developed by Teyon and Nacon, stands out as a loving homage to the '80s. This first-person shooter lets players step into the role of Alex Murphy, tasked with saving a crime-ridden Detroit. A significant update in January of the previous year introduced a New Game Plus mode, enhancing the game's replayability. Our review gave it a solid 7/10, recommending it as a worthwhile experience at launch.

For those craving intense multiplayer action, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre by Sumo Digital and Gun Media offers an asymmetrical multiplayer experience. Players can choose to either survive or hunt as part of the Slaughter Family, including the infamous Leatherface. Our review noted it provides "a few entertaining, technically challenged hours of fun," earning a 6/10.

To balance out the adrenaline rush, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory from Bandai Namco offers a more relaxed pace. This 2018 release expands the digital world with over 320 Digimon to collect and a fresh perspective on the original Cyber Sleuth narrative.

As RoboCop, Leatherface, and Agumon join PlayStation consoles next week, remember to download the March 2025 titles before they expire on March 31. The previous month's lineup, including Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Sonic Colors: Ultimate, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection, was particularly strong, making it a great time for both subscribers and potential new members to add these games to their libraries.
