Aquarion Tribe Gets Major Buffs in The Battle of Polytopia, Becoming Thalassic Superstars!

Midjiwan has just released a significant update for *The Battle of Polytopia*, introducing a comprehensive rework for the Aquarion Tribe, the game's first special tribe that debuted back in 2017. Let's dive into the exciting changes.

The Aquarion Are Getting A Serious Makeover

The Aquarion Tribe is undergoing a dramatic transformation with this update. Their land units are now equipped with mermaid tails, indicating a shift towards being fully aquatic or amphibious. These units can now traverse water effortlessly, though they may be slower on land. A new feature, flooded terrain, allows both land and naval units to occupy the same space, adding a strategic layer to gameplay.

The update extends the aquatic theme to buildings, enabling players to construct structures on water. Explorers can now discover Lost Cities amidst deep-sea ruins, providing an ideal base for aquatic warfare. A new structure, the Atoll, facilitates connectivity between water cities, eliminating the need for roads. Additionally, Aqua Crops make a return and are now a permanent fixture in the Aquarion's arsenal, functioning similarly to their land-based counterparts.

The update introduces new sea creatures to *The Battle of Polytopia*. Sharks now enable surprise attacks, Puffers offer long-range bombardments, and Jellies can deliver electric shocks to enemies. The beloved Tridentions and Crabs are back, with Crabs now capable of flooding the tiles they traverse, enhancing their synergy with the new mermaid-tailed units. Curious about the update?
