Atari & Technos Join Evercade's Super Pocket Trio

Evercade's Super Pocket handheld line expands with Atari and Technos editions! These new handhelds will feature classic games from the respective platforms. A limited-edition, wood-grain Atari Super Pocket (only 2600 units!) will also be available soon.

Game preservation remains a contentious issue, with passionate arguments on both sides. However, Evercade provides a legitimate and convenient alternative to expensive secondhand games.

Building on the success of its Capcom and Taito editions, Evercade introduces the Atari and Technos Super Pocket handhelds in October 2024. These devices offer official access to retro game libraries.

The limited-edition wood-grain Atari Super Pocket is a unique offering, though its appeal might depend on whether the wood grain is genuine.

A Retro Revival

With handheld gaming often dominated by emulation, officially licensed options like Evercade are a welcome sight. Evercade has built a solid reputation, although some might view the limited 2600 run as a marketing tactic.

The Super Pocket's compatibility with existing Evercade cartridges allows for easy portability of your retro game collection. Games can be easily switched between handheld and console.
