The Battle of Polytopia has just upped the ante with its exciting new Weekly Challenges! This fresh addition to the 4X strategy game offers a thrilling, competitive experience unlike anything before.
From Randomness to Rigorous Competition
Polytopia is known for its unpredictable gameplay—shifting enemies, fluctuating resources, and ever-changing maps. But this free update introduces a structured competitive element. Each week, every player receives the same map, the same tribe, and identical starting conditions. The goal? Maximize your score within 20 turns. You get one attempt per day, for a maximum of seven attempts per week.
This new feature even lets you experience tribes you may not own! The game boasts 16 tribes—four included in the base game and twelve available for purchase. However, in Weekly Challenges, everyone plays as the same tribe, regardless of ownership.

Will Weekly Challenges Elevate Polytopia?
The new mode also introduces a compelling League system. Starting in the Entry League, players ascend (or descend) based on their weekly performance. The top third advances, the bottom third drops, and the middle remains in place. The difficulty scales with your league progression, starting with Easy AI in the Entry League and escalating to Crazy difficulty AI in the Gold League. Skipping a week won't demote you, but your ranking will adjust relative to other players' progress.
Download the game from the Google Play Store and jump into the action! For more gaming news, check out our article on hololive's first-ever global mobile game, Dreams.
