Jack Quaid, known for his role in "The Boys," has expressed a strong interest in appearing in a potential BioShock movie, citing the game as one of his all-time favorites. During a Reddit AMA to promote his new film, Novocaine, Quaid highlighted the "rich lore" of BioShock, suggesting it could be effectively adapted into a TV or movie format.
The prospects of a BioShock movie being produced have seen some developments. Last year, producer Roy Lee mentioned that the project had undergone a "reconfiguration" due to leadership changes at Netflix, aiming for a "more personal" approach. This shift was necessitated by reduced budgets, and although plot details remain under wraps, Francis Lawrence, known for directing The Hunger Games, remains attached to direct the film.
Quaid's resemblance to video game icon Max Payne has also caught fans' attention, especially with scenes from his film Novocaine drawing comparisons to the Max Payne series. Quaid himself acknowledged the resemblance but admitted he hasn't played Max Payne, though it's on his list to explore, given his appreciation for Rockstar's games.
Beyond BioShock, Quaid revealed his passion for FromSoftware's challenging games, such as Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Elden Ring. He described himself as a "huge video game nerd" and shared that he frequently uses Reddit to seek tips on overcoming the tough bosses in these games, showcasing his deep engagement with the gaming community.
