Capcom to Crack Down on Monster Hunter Wilds Cheaters Before Update 1

by Benjamin May 06,2025

Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing quests designed to foster competition through fast clear times. In anticipation of this update, Capcom has issued a stern warning against cheating and the use of external tools, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining a fair and enjoyable gaming environment for all players.

In a recent post on their official X/Twitter account, Capcom explicitly stated, "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts found to be in violation may face suspension or restrictions, including the inability to receive rewards from these quests."

Capcom's vigilance extends beyond solo players; they have also cautioned that participating in multiplayer hunts with cheaters could lead to an invalid quest completion time and the forfeiture of rewards for the entire party. The company urges players to be vigilant and avoid multiplayer sessions with those engaging in prohibited activities. They encourage reporting any instances of cheating observed during quests.

The new quests will offer appealing rewards, including cosmetic pendants. Some rewards will be distributed to all participants, while others will be awarded based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This reward system underscores Capcom's stringent measures against cheaters to ensure the integrity of the competition and the fairness of the rewards distribution.

These Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja, which players can unlock by completing a special tutorial mission. As Monster Hunter Wilds' Title Update 1 launches tomorrow, players should prioritize completing the tutorial to access the Grand Hub.
