Mastering Character Customization in Monster Hunter Wilds

Character customization is a key element in Monster Hunter Wilds, offering extensive options for both your Hunter and Palico companions. This guide details how to modify your appearance and outfits.

Altering Your Hunter and Palico's Appearance

Access the in-depth character creator at any time after unlocking your base camp. Simply enter your tent, navigate to the Appearance Menu (using L1 or R1), and select "Change Appearance." This allows for comprehensive adjustments to both your Hunter and Palico's physical features.

Outfit Changes and Layered Armor

The Layered Armor system, available from the game's outset, lets you customize your Hunter's and Palico's outfits. Within the Appearance Menu, choose "Equipment Appearance" to select from your unlocked Layered Armor pieces. Note that this only allows you to change the visual appearance; the underlying armor's stats remain unchanged. To change your actual armor and its stats, you must forge and equip new armor sets.

Seikret Customization Options

The Appearance Menu also includes Seikret Customization. Here, you can adjust your Seikret's skin and feather colors, patterns, decorations, and even eye color.
