Metaphor: ReFantazio Party Member Recruitment Guide: A Detailed Timeline

Beyond the protagonist, seven companions will join your adventure in Metaphor: ReFantazio, each contributing unique combat skills. While Gallica is present from the start, her combat role is initially limited.

Note: This guide contains minor spoilers regarding party member recruitment timing.

Each party member joins on specific in-game dates, tied to story events. Some appearances are surprising, so proceed with caution if you wish to avoid spoilers.

Party Member Recruitment Dates:

Each party member awakens to a unique Archetype, usable by any party member once unlocked. Early companions may be initially AI-controlled before gaining full player control upon Archetype awakening.

• Strohl (Warrior): Joins on June 5th (6/5) during the Border Fort events, but his Archetype awakens the following day, June 6th (6/6), in the Nord Mines. Until then, he's AI-controlled.

• Grius: Joins after the Border Fort events, but becomes a fully controllable party member on June 6th (6/6), after Strohl's Archetype awakening. Grius doesn't undergo a traditional Archetype awakening.

• Hulkenberg (Knight): Begins interacting with the party on June 10th (6/10), fully joining and awakening her Archetype during the boss fight on June 11th (6/11).

• Heismay (Thief): His awakening and party integration occur on July 4th (7/4) within Martira's main dungeon during a largely linear story segment.

• Junah (Masked Dancer): Junah joins the party upon her Archetype awakening on August 13th (8/13).

• Eupha (Summoner): Eupha's recruitment is flexible. Complete the Dragon Temple Dungeon anytime between August 19th (8/19) and September 4th (9/4) during Viraga Island's free time. She joins for the final boss on the day of dungeon completion; however, her Bond quest begins only after this period concludes.

• Basilio (Berserker): Awakens and joins the party on September 11th (9/11) during Saint's Day events. Combat usage is available the following day.
