Final Fantasy XVI's PC Debut: September 17th
Square Enix has officially announced the highly anticipated PC release of Final Fantasy XVI on September 17th. This announcement signals a potential shift towards simultaneous multi-platform releases for future installments.
The PC version will be available for $49.99, while the Complete Edition, including the "Echoes of the Fallen" and "The Rising Tide" story expansions, is priced at $69.99. A playable demo, featuring the prologue and an "Eikonic Challenge" combat mode, is currently available, with progress carrying over to the full game.
In an interview with Rock Paper Shotgun, Director Hiroshi Takai highlighted the PC version's enhanced capabilities, stating, "we've increased the frame rate cap to 240fps, and you can choose from various upscaling technologies such as NVIDIA DLSS3, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS."
