A prominent Fortnite leaker recently hinted at an upcoming collaboration between the popular battle royale game and the anime series, Kaiju No. 8. This news follows the exciting addition of Godzilla to the game on January 17th, available via the Chapter 6 Season 1 Battle Pass. This isn't the only monster-themed excitement; Fortnite recently concluded its Winterfest event and launched its first major 2025 update. This update introduced new cosmetics and gameplay changes, including the ability to use instruments from Fortnite Festival as back blings and pickaxes, expanding their usability across different game modes. A new local co-op mode for Fortnite Festival also debuted. These additions have fueled speculation about future content and crossovers.
In a recent Twitter post, the well-known leaker HYPEX suggested a Kaiju No. 8 and Fortnite collaboration. Kaiju No. 8, which follows Kafka Hibino's transformation into a kaiju after a parasitic encounter, transitioned from manga to anime in 2024, with a second season planned for 2025. A Fortnite crossover would place it alongside other popular anime franchises like Dragon Ball Z.
Beyond Kaiju No. 8, multiple leakers suggest a potential Demon Slayer crossover. While details on both anime collaborations remain scarce, many fans anticipate new cosmetics in the Item Shop, and some hope to see characters from both franchises integrated into the game's map.
Further leaks indicate the arrival of more MonsterVerse characters beyond Godzilla, potentially including King Kong and Mechagodzilla. With this influx of rumored content, anticipation is high for what Epic Games has in store for the remainder of 2025.
