Fortnite's cosmetic items are hugely popular, with players eager to showcase their favorite skins. Epic Games' rotating in-game store model, while generating excitement, often results in lengthy waits for specific skins to reappear. While some, like Master Chief (after a two-year absence) and even the original Renegade Raider and Aerial Assault Trooper, have eventually returned, the future of others remains uncertain.
This uncertainty is particularly felt by Arcane fans hoping for the return of Jinx and Vi skins. Demand soared after the second season's release, yet Riot Games co-founder Marc Merrill offered a pessimistic outlook during a recent stream. While acknowledging the decision rests with Riot, he indicated the collaboration was limited to the first season. Although he later expressed willingness to discuss the matter internally, he offered no guarantees.
The likelihood of these skins returning seems low. While Riot would undoubtedly profit from renewed sales, the potential shift of players from League of Legends to Fortnite due to the skins presents a significant concern. With League of Legends facing challenges, diverting its player base isn't a desirable outcome.
While future circumstances may change, managing expectations is advisable for now.
