Having your own house at the age of 18 might seem like a dream come true—think independence and your own space, all before you can legally drink in the US! But in the case of *Your House*, this dream quickly turns into a nightmare. This seemingly cozy home harbors a dark secret that you'll uncover as you play.
In this text-based adventure, you step into the shoes of Debbie, a young woman who, on her 18th birthday, faces expulsion from school, betrayal by her best friend, and a car accident. With nothing left to lose, Debbie receives a mysterious key and a letter directing her to the titular house. Driven by curiosity and desperation, she sets out to unravel the mystery behind it.
As Debbie, you'll encounter dozens of escape room-style puzzles and a mysterious figure lurking on the sidewalk. You'll need to use all your ingenuity to ensure Debbie's survival. The game blends text-based storytelling with engaging visuals, making it a compelling experience despite its eerie undertones.
While *Your House* might sound more sinister than it is, there's no denying its spooky atmosphere. As you explore the various nooks and crannies of your new home, you'll need to be prepared for some intense tapping. Although our reviewer, Catherine, praised the game, she noted that the gameplay could be a bit demanding. However, if you take your time and carefully examine each screen, the slow-burn pace can be rewarding.
*Your House* is now available on iOS and currently in pre-registration on Android. Keep an eye out for its release, or in the meantime, check out our list of the top 25 best puzzlers for iOS and Android to keep you entertained while you wait!
