New Hunger Games Book: Preorder Discounts Available Next Week

by Samuel May 21,2025

I'm eagerly anticipating the release of the new Hunger Games novel, "Sunrise on the Reaping," which is my top pick for 2025 book releases. It's no wonder that this book has been dominating Amazon's best sellers list and even secured a spot in the top five well before its release date. The Hunger Games series, penned by Suzanne Collins, has a massive following, amplified by its successful movie adaptations. Excitingly, "Sunrise on the Reaping" is also slated for a film adaptation in 2026.

"Sunrise on the Reaping" will hit the shelves on Tuesday, March 18. Currently, Amazon is offering discounts on both hardcover and Kindle editions of the book. Additionally, exclusive editions with special extras are available at Barnes & Noble and Target.

What Is Sunrise on the Reaping About?

"Sunrise on the Reaping," the fifth installment in the Hunger Games series, is set 40 years after "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" and 24 years before Katniss Everdeen's story begins. The narrative unfolds during the Second Quarter Quell, which was famously won by Haymitch Abernathy, the mentor from District 12, portrayed by Woody Harrelson in the films.
