Insomniac Games' Ted Price Reveals Unmade Resistance 4 Pitch
Insomniac Games founder and retiring president, Ted Price, recently revealed in an interview with Kinda Funny Games that a Resistance 4 pitch was developed but ultimately never greenlit. While the concept was deemed "wonderful," Price cited timing and market opportunity as factors preventing its realization.
He expressed the team's strong desire to continue the Resistance storyline, highlighting the series' unique alternate history setting and the untapped potential of the Chimera's origins and future conflicts.
The Resistance series, a trilogy of first-person shooters, debuted on the PlayStation 3. The games depict an alternate 1951 where aliens invade the UK. Following the Resistance trilogy, Insomniac transitioned to other projects, including the critically acclaimed Marvel's Spider-Man series and new Ratchet & Clank installments.
Price's retirement announcement earlier this year marked the end of his 30-year tenure at Insomniac. Chad Dezern, Ryan Schneider, and Jen Huang have been appointed as Co-Studio Heads.
Insomniac's latest release, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, recently launched on PC, with Marvel's Wolverine slated as their next major title.
