Marvel Rivals Adding Skin Based on Spider-Man 2 Game

Marvel Rivals is adding a new Spider-Man skin to celebrate the PC release of Marvel's Spider-Man 2.

The Advanced Suit 2.0 skin, based on the PlayStation exclusive title, will debut in Marvel Rivals on January 30th, coinciding with the PC launch of Marvel's Spider-Man 2. This surprise announcement follows the January 17th release of new Mantis and Doctor Strange skins.

Spider-Man, a five-star Duelist in Marvel Rivals, is known for his high damage output and challenging gameplay. His unique mobility allows for quick engagements and escapes, utilizing web-zipping and web-swinging across the map. His abilities include webbing opponents, pulling them closer, and delivering powerful uppercuts. Currently, a Season 1 Midnight Features quest encourages players to use Spider-Man to earn rewards.

NetEase Games' Twitter announcement generated significant excitement, particularly due to Yuri Lowenthal voicing Spider-Man in both games. However, some fans are debating between the Advanced Suit 2.0 and a rumored Lunar New Year Spider-Man skin.

The Advanced Suit 2.0 Skin

The Advanced Suit 2.0 retains the classic red and blue design, highlighted by the large, iconic white spider emblem characteristic of Insomniac Games' Spider-Man. While anticipation is high, concerns exist about the potential cost. Legendary skins typically cost 2,200 Units, but MCU skins like Spider-Man and Iron Man are priced at 2,600 Units.

Players aiming to quickly acquire Units can focus on completing Heroic Journey achievements, offering up to 1,500 Units and skins for Storm and Star-Lord. These Units, combined with Lattice, can be used to purchase skins from the in-game shop. With a promising future of cosmetic items, fans eagerly await NetEase Games' next releases.
