On January 19th, a temporary suspension of TikTok's US operations unexpectedly impacted Marvel Snap, the popular card game published by Nuverse (a ByteDance subsidiary). This resulted in a 24-hour outage before the game was restored, though in-app purchases remain unavailable.

The disruption, attributed to political risk surrounding TikTok's ongoing negotiations to sell a 50% stake in its US operations, highlights the vulnerability of apps associated with the platform.
